VE Eve - baggiebloke - 05-07-2020

Hard to compute in one's mind what it must have felt like 75 years ago.

After all that horror.

This will be the last time we have the veterans still alive, in very small numbers, to remember it all.

The flags are getting ready.

RE: VE Eve - Fulham Fallout - 05-07-2020

BBQ on my front garden tomorrow, even if no one else is doing anything where I live. I don’t have any buttons/ flags and so I may turn the tv to face the window and have the union flag on the tv (courtesy of google images) and/or find something on YouTube to play.

Flags ironed and proudly flying at the front of the house, above the German and Japanese cars on the drive.

Wouldn't printing or drawing a flag be a lot easier?

If I had a printer or was aged 5 then yes.  But aged 55 it may come as little surprise to you that I no longer own wax crayons nor coloured pencils. Big Grin

Trust me. I’ve come up with the best compromise.

I will be remembering it in my own way, raising a glass to those brave men and women who put up with so much more than we are.

Will avoid any sniff of a street party, flag-waving or sing-alongs like the plague though!

Enjoy how you see fit good folk.
